R&D Software Engineer — Berlin, Germany

Position Overview

 

Circle Cardiovascular Imaging Inc. is looking for a R&D engineer/scientist in the field of medical image processing and analysis to extend the Berlin based R&D team.

The ideal candidate should have a heavy mathematical background with an emphasis on image registration, feature detection and/or other image/signal processing related fields. The candidate should be experienced in C/C++/Matlab and ideally have professional experience in the software development industry. Experience in QT, OpenGL and/or the medical imaging software field in general is considered an asset.

 

General Responsibilities

 

  • Research and develop advanced image processing, registration and segmentation algorithms for medical images
  • Research and develop automatic algorithms for computer aided diagnosis of medical images
  • Work closely with a team of engineers/developers in designing and developing medical image post-processing software
  • Work closely with regulatory and Q/A engineers to ensure development of quality software
  • Work closely with scientific advisors and physicians in developing algorithms for solving clinical problems

 

Required Skills/Experience

 

  • Experienced in solving complex mathematical problems with emphasize on image, signal and/or data processing
  • Experienced in C/C++/Matlab
  • Experience in image registration, segmentation and/or feature detection is a huge asset

 

Beneficial Skills/Experience

 

  • Experienced in the professional software development environment
  • Experience with QT, OpenGL and OpenCv
  • Experience with DICOM images (MR/CT)
  • Experience with MAC OS
  • Experience in the medical imaging software industry
Educational Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field
