Feature Overview

  • Global and regional T1 time assessment.
  • Native and post-contrast T1 and R2 maps.
  • Segmental ECV and λ quantification
  • Customizable look-up tables for color coded T1 maps
  • Allows for segmental analysis (polar maps with customizable segmentation) of cvi42® and/or scanner generated maps
  • Option to restrict regional analysis to a transmural range.
  • Support of the following sequences: Standard Inversion Recovery, MOLLI, SASHA, ShMOLLI, shMOLLI (Oxford) (not available in US), as well as the TI scouts.
  • cvi42 allows to enter that scaling factor to adjust T1 time measurements. It is not possible for a third party vendor to detect if a correction factor has been used and the user needs to refer to the Siemens documentation.
  • For MOLLI and shMOLLI and MOLLI Oxford sequences cvi42 will display a T1*map, which may offer a more accurate estimation of blood pool T1.
  • ECV map generation

Benefits

In contrast to LE imaging this method does not rely on tissue contrast. Parametric T1 maps provide a pixel-wise reflection of T1 values, and even without the application of contrast agents, it is possible to detect pathologically important findings that otherwise can be difficult to assess clinically.

With respect to sequences and analysis, this technique refines quickly. The modular system of cvi42® and cmr42 allows you to access the most recent developments when they come available.

  • Support of all commonly used sequences allow for integration in clinical settings.
  • The option to customize multiple parameter make ideal for research.
The T1 Mapping module is only available for research purposes in the USA since the use of contrast agents for Cardiac MR procedures is not FDA–approved, and should not be used clinically.
