Before you install

  • Set up a server meeting the requirements above.
  • Decide whether to use a Full or Express version of Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Check whether another Web Application will be running on the server.
    • For example, check whether the Web Server (IIS) Windows Server Role is enabled.
    • If so, can it be removed, or should report42 be installed on another port (such as 8080)?

    • In Skype's Tools menu, select Options...
    • Open the Advanced section and select the Connection subsection.

    • Restart Skype to free the ports.
  • Enable the .NET Framework 3.5.1 Windows Server Feature (under .NET Framework 3.5.1 Features).
